Abstract:

This thesis introduces error handling in Symbian Operation System. Symbian has developed their own exception mechanism to deal with these errors. It is a lightweight mechanism and easy to use in simple cases. However, we will notice that the error handling is complicated. Defects can be easily found even from applications, which are written by professional programmers and are meant for educational purposes. Typical problems are analysed and solutions for these are discussed. In addition, some improvement proposals for the operating system are presented. /Kir10 |
