Abstract:
|
Spread Spectrum Techniques are used widely now in both military and civilian applications because of their several advantages. In cellular environment, some of these advantages seem quite remarkable. The typical cellular environment (cellular and microcellular mobile radioenvironment and indoor environment) are investigated in this thesis based on literature. The principle of spread sprectrum techniques, especially Direct Sequence (DS) spread spectrum technique which is now mainly applied, are discussed in more detail. Some special considerations of DS transmitter and receiver architectures used for multiple access applications (code division multiple access - CDMA) are also discussed. A basic simulation model is built and some simulation results are given to prove the benefit of the DS-technique. The analysis of some main factors of cellular CDMA system is given. Due to the advantages of CDMA system, it can be considered to be avery useful technique for the next generation of cellular and microcellular mobile systems. /Kir11 |
