Virtual prototyping for telecommunication systems

Abstract

This thesis concentrates on virtual prototyping as an embodiment of the modern design technologies. The virtual prototyping concept is used to perform the design process on system-level, where the global and sub-system design process on system-level, where the global and sub-system design verification handled by emulation, simulation, and co-simulation. The virtual prototyping environment described in this thesis consists of several commercial design environments and tools. Additional interfaces and communication mechanisms are developed in order to provide the required inter-tool co-operation. The developed environment is demonstrated with some design cases. /Kir10
