Abstract: Sixteen boreholes were selected representing the four different hydrogeological formations in the region for chemical water analyses, for static water level, depth and yield measurements and for physical inspection including scheme reservoir and pumping water for silt content analyses. The problems in the region are siltation, sand pumping and physical clogging of the screens and the surrounding formation by fine particles. The study concludes that through periodical rehabilitation, the original efficiencies of the boreholes can be recovered in most cases. /Kir10
