| Abstract: | The main subject of this diploma is the local compression caused of the cross-section of a timber beam. Thereofore, different ways to prove such a compression caused by a special connection using steel plate is shown fot German and European building codes. A Russian manual is taken to show hints for dealing whis the local compression case. |
