Title: Location factors in information technology outsourcing decision-making
Author: Rawal, Puja
Abstract: The objective of this research is to determine the factors that influence the location decisions when outsourcing IT functions. The research problem was solved by answering several research questions. In the literature review, the location decision-making factors were categorized into macro and micro environmental criteria by utilizing the PESTEL framework and vendor-specific factors, respectively. These criteria were then summarized in the proposed framework, indicating whether they positively or negatively influence the location selection decision. Next, quantitative research was carried out through Webropol-programme to test the framework by sending out the questionnaires to Finnish financial companies. The results are presented in the thesis. /Kir09
